- Understanding the athletes performance pathway within their chosen sport, including liaising with National Governing Bodies
- Working with the athlete to identify the educational and sporting transitions the athlete may face throughout their career
- Guiding and signposting the athlete with regards to Anti Doping guidelines within their specific performance pathway
- Supporting the athlete to manage their career: building relationships with key stakeholders within the athlete’s educational provider.
TOFC Mentoring and Lifestyle Program
TOFC Talented Athlete Lifestyle Support (TALS) and Mentoring program has been formed on the fundamentals acquired from the TALS program which is run through the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS), which has been successfully supporting Olympic, Paralympic and National Governing Body Athletes who represent their country in their chosen sport.
The framework for the TOFC TALS and Mentoring program stretches over a 12-month period, and all TOFC Mentees will have an individualised program. Sessions are tailored to address the athlete’s immediate and long term needs, achieve all of their identified goals and to provide ongoing support to maximise their potential. Topics include effective time management for athletes studying, goal setting, identifying and effecting momentum shifts in the athletes given sport, dealing with pressure and performance anxiety, and a 12 month planner for the athlete to monitor there progress in identified areas of development.
TOFC currently has 12 athletes utilising our service, from a variety of domestic, national and international teams and organisations. The program consists of a four sessions across a 12 month period, with additional support optional if and when required.
For more information please contact us directly, where we can provide an example of the 12 month support and session framework. All sessions with the TOFC athlete (and parent if under 18/or athlete requests) will be completed either on a face-to-face basis, or via FaceTime if geography and time is a challenge.
